Namak Haram, which translates to “Unfaithful” in English, is a Pakistani drama series that aired on Hum TV in 2017. The series was produced by Momina Duraid under her production company MD Productions and was directed by Nadeem Baig. It starred Sanam Jung, Bilal Abbas Khan, and Yumna Zaidi in lead roles.
Namak Haram Story
The story of Namak Haram revolves around two childhood friends, Mahi (Sanam Jung) and Haider (Bilal Abbas Khan). Mahi is a kind-hearted and innocent girl, while Haider is a selfish and ambitious man. Mahi’s father is a wealthy businessman, and Haider’s father is a poor laborer. Haider always envied Mahi’s wealth and status, and he was determined to one day surpass her.
As Mahi and Haider grew up, their friendship turned into love. Mahi’s father, however, was against their relationship. He didn’t want his daughter to marry a man from a lower social class. He forced Mahi to marry another man, but she refused.
